Parent Support Groups
Methodist Ladies’ College has a long tradition of parental involvement to help us provide a caring and supportive environment and an array of opportunities for our girls.
Our Parent Support Group volunteers are encouraged to follow our Community Support Group Code of Conduct Guidelines.
Parents of MLC
The Parents of MLC (PoMLC) brings families together to strengthen our community and support our girls.
The committee aims to encourage engagement and involvement between families and the College, welcome new Community members and support those in need, provide assistance to staff and enhance the College’s education programme.
The Committee includes an Executive of President, Early, Junior, Middle and Senior Years’ Representatives, Secretary and Treasurer as well as Non-Executive positions of New Families Coordinator, Parent Education, Values support and Boarding Coordinator.

Parents of MLC meet twice per term at a morning and evening meeting in the Centenary Boardroom. All parents are welcome to attend.
The College partners with a number of organisations to foster ongoing, targeted relationships with worthy causes, and to provide information on community service opportunities for girls, families or class/year groups. Friends of Music MLC
The Friends of Music MLC promotes and inspires the development of Music within our College and the wider community.
The committee provides practical support at music concerts and events. Membership to Friends of Music is open to anyone and community assistance at concerts and functions is warmly encouraged.

Men of MLC
Men of MLC (MoMLC) is a group of enthusiastic and innovative dads, uncles, brothers, cousins and grandfathers who aim to foster the dad-daughter relationship and to build on the power of networking to provide enrichment and support for our girls.
Meetings are held off-site. The Men of MLC host various events for dads throughout the year and an annual Years 6 and 7 Father Daughter Camp.

MLC Rowing Club
The Rowing Club supports our students participating in Rowing as a winter sport.
The club is made up of a dedicated network of motivated parents who support the Rowing Coordinator and the girls throughout the season especially at regattas and organise the Head of the River Dinner.
Crews compete in the IGSSA competition.
