Year 9 Residential Program

MLC is launching a new residential program for Year 9 students commencing in Term 1, 2012.

Year 9 students are invited to stay in the MLC Boarding House for two, four, six or eight weeks, for an experience that will grow their personal, social and academic skills.

Girls will learn to:

  • care for themselves
  • improve their personal organisation
  • manage their finances
  • live with others
  • explore spirituality
  • understand healthy sleep and study routines

A full program of co-curricular experiences includes Community Service and access to specialist recreational activities such as:

  • horse riding
  • surfing lessons
  • skippers ticket training
  • sailing
  • kayaking
  • bike education

Places are limited to a maximum of 20.

The cost of the Year 9 Residential Program is $435 per week and includes:

  • all meals and snacks
  • school uniforms and bedding laundered weekly
  • access to the Health Centre
  • recreational activities
  • tutor fees
  • wireless Internet
  • transport to and from sport and social commitments
  • after-hours access to campus facilities
